Minor changes can make a bedroom beautiful
16/06/2010
Simple changes in the bedroom can make a whole lot of difference, one expert has suggested.
Making the bed, for example, can make the room appear tidier and more like a "personal retreat", Catherine Gentile of Bed Bath & Beyond told seattlepi.com.
Furthermore, experimenting with colours on the walls can give the bedroom a totally different feel, Ms Gentile revealed, with warm colours especially suited to this part of the house.
Adding cool accents can also prove effective, while also adding a sense of interest, noted Cheryl Gallinger, principal interior designer and co-owner of Jackson Hole.
"People overlook that they have lighting options other than the typical centre overhead light," Ms Gentile emphasised, suggesting they should make some more atmospheric choices.
Earlier this month, Barela Martzel claimed in an article for lonad.com that beds form the focal point of the bedroom, so people therefore need to make sure they choose the right product.
