Buying a brand new mattress could be all a person needs to enhance their life, it has been said.
By the age of 60, a person will have spent around 20 years between the sheets, so it is essential not to settle for anything less than ultimate comfort, the Independent revealed.
A lack of sleep can have a negative impact on a person''s everyday life, the article stressed, as it helps control the immune system, stress and even emotions.
The article continued: "An uncomfortable mattress means we toss and turn more frequently, resulting in poor sleep."
People''s backs also suffer if their mattress is not up to the job, which can lead to problems later in life, the piece added.
Jennifer Antkowiak, in a piece for beliefnet.com, recently said that failing to have at least six hours sleep can have a negative impact on a person''s general health and wellbeing.
