Top actor Anthony Hopkins is unlikely to be a stranger to entertaining guests, but he has revealed his top tip for getting rid of visitors who have outstayed their welcome.
The Oscar winner simply heads off to bed once he''s had enough of small talk - if they even get past the door of his house.
"If my guests go by car I already tell them on arrival that they immediately can start the engine again," Hopkins told German TV station Tele 5.
He told the audience that his wife Stella often warns guests "Tony is impossible. If he is bored he just leaves and goes to bed."
The 72-year-old also revealed that he hates schmoozing with fellow actors as he finds their company tedious and dull.
It was recently announced that Hopkins would be starring alongside Dustin Hoffman in a forthcoming drama called The Song of Names.
