Can memory foam pillow help students learn while they snooze?

While students are often criticised for spending too much time in bed, they could just be preparing their minds for greater things - with the help of a new device that claims to divulge knowledge while the user snoozes.
A study from the Northwestern University in Chicago recently found that hearing specific sounds during bed rest can help to improve sleepers'' memory, prompting one company to come up with the invention, the Daily Telegraph reports.
The aptly-named Sound Asleep has created a memory foam pillow that connects to a music player, allowing users to play recordings of lectures.
However, the idea may not be as effective as it sounds - other studies have found that playing sound during sleep actually prevents the brain from getting the rest it needs.
In a recent piece in the Guardian, Dr Luisa Dillner suggested that getting adequate sleep is one of the most important factors in developing a good memory.
