Can you sleep your way to better grades?

The quality of a student''s mattress and bed frame could be key to success in their studies, it has been suggested.
Fordham University''s McGinley Student Center counselling and psychological services assistant director Adam Rosen told The Ram that students often suffer from sleeping problems, which can affect both physical and mental health.
In an interview with the student newspaper, he added: "It can affect your mood, concentration and focus. Insomnia is often associated with depression and can be caused by anxiety."
Earlier this month, health blog Fit Sugar suggested that students may suffer from a bad back and other potential sleep problems if they have a bad mattress.
The blog indicates that a mattress should be replaced every five to seven years, but advises buyers to try out different types to establish which one suits them best because a firm mattress is not necessarily the best choice to cure back pain.
