American Idol to see Rihanna performance
06/04/2010
In true bombastic American Idol style, the show will feature another batch of great guests this month - including one particularly popular songstress.
The programme, currently sponsored by Silentnight Beds, will see a performance from Rihanna, seeing the star''s rendition of Te Amo in a show that will be dominated by the works of John Lennon and Paul McCartney.
Meanwhile, Jason Derulo will be performing In My Head - which hit number one in the UK and had a lot of success out in the US too - while last year''s American Idol finalist David Archuleta will be reprising his much-applauded rendition of John Lennon''s Imagine.
It is unknown which tracks will be performed at this stage, though it is possible that they could pick several tracks from the middle years of the Beatles, when the band struck gold with the American audience and played to the packed Shea Stadium in New York.
Recently, it was implied that following Simon Cowell''s departure from American Idol at the end of the series, Sir Elton John could step in to fill his boots.
