Terry Wogan ''enjoying student bed life''
12/03/2010
Sir Terry Wogan is living the high life since quitting the Radio 2 Breakfast Show, letting a fellow wireless voice know exactly how he whittles down the mornings he used to play a major part in for millions of people nationwide.
The broadcasting veteran rang Absolute host Christian O''Connell as part of an on-air competition called Who''s Calling Christian?, where celebrities phone the station in the hope of winning £20,000 for charity.
Wogan, who has handed over to Chris Evans - much to the chagrin of his former listeners - said he is making the most of his freedom in the mornings.
"At the moment we sit there in bed and watch sport - it''s terrific because we can be there till one in the afternoon. Well, I never was a student so I''m making the most of it now - a little too late."
This week, Wogan told his fans known as Togs - Terry''s Old Geezers and Gals - to give Chris Evans time to settle into the job, following a backlash against the presenter since he took over in January.
