Accent colours are ''important with decorating a child''s bedroom''

Young children and teenagers alike are known for changing their mind on a number of things, which is why parents must ensure they approach bedroom decor in a specific way, it is said.
Marc Atiyolil of the Canwest News Service said that firstly, mums and dads must choose "high-traffic-built products" such as high-quality textured carpets capable of hiding stains should things be dropped.
Furthermore, the hunt for children''s beds or regular mattresses that are known to stand more roughness should also be opted for, though it was the colour scheme which the expert was most concerned about.
Mr Atiyolil said that people must always invest in neutral-coloured furniture. He asserted: "Your daughter might love pinks and purples right now, but it doesn''t mean she will in a few years, so I would stay away from the bright pink dresser."
As for the walls, the specialist added that a neutral colour is best and that a design can be given "punch" by using favourite colours as the accent colour.
The Herald recently revealed that a unique project is being launched by Glasgow City Council to send a sleep counsellor to give lessons for teenagers on how to get the most out of their bed on a night.
