People ought to address bed to ''avoid pollen early''
03/02/2010
A German news agency is seemingly the first outlet in the world to raise awareness of the troubles which spring can bring with it.
The Deutsche Presse-Agentur (dpa) has recommended that measures ought to be taken to avoid pollen in the home, which may include the dusting of all even surfaces in the home and minimising the number of home textiles in the home, including rugs and drapes.
It argued that because pollen clings to materials such as this, they must be vacuumed well and may deserve a machine fitted with a solid attachment for sucking up any allergens.
However, the bedroom is not excused from this overhaul, with the dpa continuing: "Bed linen should be washed every one to two weeks and clothing every three to four days. Items belonging to the person who suffers allergies should not be hung outside to dry."
The dpa is the biggest press agency in Germany and employs 1,200 employees across 100 countries worldwide.
