Staining the mattress is a nightmare situation that could wreck the bed, yet is something that can be easily solved with speedy action, according to a new report.
Experts at Lifehacker explained that it only takes a bit of misdirection with a bowl of food and it could spell disaster, though no matter the size of the mattress, people are not going to fit it in their washing machine any time soon and as such the mattress must be cleaned where it stands.
Stripping the sheets is the first priority, followed by the owner blotting up any residual liquid with kitchen roll, tea towels or thicker bathroom towels as soon as possible.
If people have the luxury option, a handheld shampooer with water extracting abilities can be used to the best effect by sucking out any liquid trapped deeper in the mattress.
In order to prevent the same thing from happening again in the future, a mattress pad should be bought to provide more comfort for the user while also delivering better protection against spills.
Recently, the Asheville Citizen-Times reported on Tom Morgan of Dynamic Systems in North Carolina, who used material from a memory foam mattress and put it in American football helmets to improve the sport''s safety.
