Start new year ''with new mattress''
06/01/2010
People across the UK are being encouraged to start afresh with their bed this month, with a specialist US company giving a number of handy hints to assess whether a new mattress is needed.
McRoskey Mattress pointed to a study by Oklahoma State University, which discovered that sleep and health are intrinsically linked, with mattresses playing a major part in the continued livelihood of individuals everywhere.
The company asked people to question whether or not they wake up with stiffness or aches, or if they have had a better night of sleep in a different bed elsewhere, as these are two major factors in deciding whether a new mattress is necessary.
Furthermore, if any lumps or sags are exposed by the covering of the mattress, people must consider buying a newer offering.
Robin McRoskey Azevedo, the owner of the company, said: "More research is linking good health to getting good rest. We hear of this almost daily from our customers."
Recently, it was revealed by Batchelors Cup-a-Soup that the greatest pleasure a person can have is a full night''s sleep on a comfortable bed, beating the discovery of an unknown tenner to the top spot.
