Child refuses to go to bed; mother calls cops One child''s refusal to obey his mother''s wishes resulted in a strange phone call being patched through to police in Boston, Massachusetts.

Angela Mejia, a 49-year-old from the city, spoke to the Boston Herald about how her son did not listen to her pleas to stop playing video game Grand Theft Auto 4, instead burning away the early hours of the morning on his console.

And so, Ms Mejia unplugged her son''s console and proceeded to call the police about her offspring''s behaviour.

She told the newspaper: "I woke up in the middle of the night and saw the light on in his bedroom. I called (police) because if you don''t respect your mother, what are you going to do in your life?"

Last week, another mother''s kids were in grave danger for an hour after she discovered a two metre-long brown tree snake in between her children''s beds, though trained catchers later removed the venomous snake from the property.
