Certain foods are ''perfect'' for sleep

Wanting to nod off on a night but struggling to get the rest that''s necessary to operate on all cylinders the next day? It may be worth trying certain foods, according to one writer.
In a piece for Epicurious, Lauren Salkeld explained that many people do not consider food before they go to bed and can often be kept awake by certain treats they could do better without as they hit the sack.
She cited sugar as one of the worst things to have before going to the bed, noting that so many adults believe it to be something that only affects children when in reality, it can have people of all ages bouncing off the walls.
Ms Salkeld argued against the eating of spicy food such as curry, while also highlighting the number of reports that sustain the need to have "dark leafy grains", meat and legumes to get vitamin B, which aids rest.
According to Mayo Clinic, people should not go to bed hungry as pangs of hunger can keep people awake, though large high-fat meals can interfere with rest even more.
