People who have that spare room knocking around in their house should ensure they get the most out of it, decorating it to deliver a "five-star experience" to anyone fortunate enough to stay over.
Such is the view of the GateHouse News Service, which has recommended several tips for creating the perfect space for overnight travellers to a person''s house, noting that the situation should first be approached with a desire to de-clutter the space.
However, all emphasis must be put on the bed itself before continuing to decorate, it added.
In regards to the bedding, GateHouse explained: "Carry the feeling of tranquillity through to one of the most important parts of a guest bedroom: the bed.
"Don''t scrimp on a cheaper mattress; choose a high-quality one that will last for several years. Your guests will definitely thank you for it."
Earlier this week, Catherine Hardwicke, the director of the Twilight saga of films, revealed that leading actors Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were told to practice their first kiss before filming - right in the film creator''s bedroom.
