Bad mattress costs Falkirk three points?

Of all things for a football match''s loss to be attributed to, a bad mattress is likely one of the strangest ever put forward by a manager.
And yet Eddie May, the Falkirk boss who saw his team get beaten 3-1 at the hands of St Mirren this weekend, attributed the defeat to a poor-quality bed for star player Kjarten Finnbogason, which prevented him from playing due to it creating a bad back which led to a leg injury.
However, that was not the only health issue reported by the beleaguered boss, who also revealed that star man Carl Finnigan would be out due to ligament damage and both Scott Arfield and Burton O''Brien may be out for the foreseeable future - all through tackles in the 3-1 loss.
However, it is undoubtedly hoped by manager May that Finnbogason invests in a better mattress in the near future.
According to the Better Sleep Council, four things should be prioritised when investing in a mattress: durability, space, support and comfort.
