In an act of solidarity and love for their late bandmate, the remaining members of Boyzone are to stay in the church with their fallen comrade the night before his funeral, it has been reported.
Mikey Graham, Shane Lynch, Keith Duffy and Ronan Keating will be sleeping in the chapel late tonight (Friday October 16th) because they don''t want the late Stephen Gately to spend the night alone - one of his fears when he was alive, the Daily Mirror exclusively revealed.
The gesture is not protocol in Ireland, where the body is regularly transported to the church the night before but is usually left to rest alone.
A source close to the singers told the newspaper: "It proves how close they were. Those lads would do anything for Stephen and they know he would not want to be there on his own."
Stephen Gately passed away on October 10th due to natural causes, notably a pulmonary oedema.
