A website has listed a number of tips for people who find themselves with more questions than answers when going to buy a memory foam mattress.
Chuck Harmon, a former mattress dealer, has established a website - memory-foam-buyers-guide.org - and has consulted a number of people who have bought such bedding over the last few years and compiled their tips into a video and several articles.
Entitled The 5 Deadliest Sins Most People Commit When Buying a Memory Foam Mattress and How To Avoid Them, Mr Harmon hopes the compilation will teach people about the finer details of the material and its purposes.
He explained: "After scanning through my short report, they know more about memory foam than 95 per cent of the mattress salesmen they''ll be dealing with and they can separate fact from fiction when buying a memory foam mattress, memory foam topper or other related products."
Mr Harmon hopes that due to the popularity of videos online, he will get a big audience by making the report available in both visual and text formats.
This week, Zahid Sardar of the San Francisco Chronicle said people ought to try memory foam due to the way it responds to the user''s body.
