It seems like bedroom car crashes are becoming more common by the day, with another lucky escape being chalked up in Fayetteville, North Carolina this week.
Xavian Bouldin, a 19-year-old from the city, was sleeping soundly before waking up to find the best part of an SUV on his chest, after the driver - a 16-year-old from across the street - backed the car out of his driveway and through the front bedroom of the apartment opposite.
Luckily, when the SUV hit the bed, it caused it to roll and fold, with Xavian being stuck in between the crease in the mattress which ended up acting as an airbag and saving his life.
Speaking to Eyewitness News on 11ABC, Xavian said: "I actually thought it was a dream, ''cause I needed my medicine and it was hard for me to breathe.
"So I was just like banging, ''cause I felt this stuff around me. But I thought it was a dream."
Earlier in the month, a truck careered into a Trinidadian home, with a woman narrowly escaping carnage as she slept in her bed.
