Moving into a new house? Prioritise your bed

People taking advantage of lower house prices may be looking to prioritise the essentials when moving into a new abode, yet one thing should always top the list: your bed, according to one expert.
MyHome Magazine''s associate editor and interior designer Roumel Itum explained that individuals who really want to move in quickly while taking into account their health, comfort and the more important activities in life must bring the bedframe or mattress with them, given they spend a third of their life on it.
He continued: "Decide whether you want to keep your old bedframe and buy a new mattress, or if you keep your old mattress and buy a new bedframe - whichever costs you less."
Bringing everything with you, Mr Itum continued, is also a mistake for people as it only results in more clutter that''s not particularly necessary or even wanted by many.
Mattresses weren''t so much important as life-saving in a recent incident in Sale, when a 03:00 GMT rescue of a woman from a burning building was made much easier by forward-thinking neighbours who used the bedding to bail her out.
