Mattress prices are ''usually at base price''

If a person wants to buy a mattress, they must accept that a lot of money will have to be spent if they want a top-of-the-range model - after all, they cost a lot to produce, one writer has asserted.
According to Get Rich Slowly, many people may feel the need to negotiate the price on their desired purchase but much of the time, if a salesman is able to drop the cost then they are likely selling the mattress at a higher price than it should be.
This is because most big chains will sell mattresses at the minimum price just above the manufacturers'' costs.
However, people must ensure they get chance to test the bed before they buy it, or at least get a 30-day guarantee just in case the bed they choose is not to their true tastes - something which may not become immediately apparent for a couple of weeks, the source added.
According to the Better Sleep Council, people should prioritise comfort, support, durability and space when investing in a mattress.
