The earliest choices a parent makes on behalf of their offspring are often the most important ones, with the bed being no exception, according to a bedroom decor expert.
Experts at My Little Train Room explained that while education should always be prioritised, warmth and comfort should complement any new regime, while decor has to be both "entertaining and informative".
As a result, the resource accentuates the importance of a good, healthy mattress and preferably one dressed with organic materials such as cotton, as this will eliminate any chance of the young one coming into contact with chemicals.
My Little Train Room explains that this is because children will spend up to 65 per cent of their early years in bed, whether it is sleeping or playing, meaning that a mattress must be soft and comfortable at all times.
Last week, Martha Phifer of the Orlando Sentinel asserted that to help with a feng shui effort in the bedroom, organic cotton should be embraced when used in bed linen as it can give a much needed health boost to the boudoir''s inhabitant.
