When aiming to make the bed more comfortable, people must ensure they think outside the box and a number of things must be taken into account such as bedding, feng shui and natural materials.
Such are the views of the Orlando Sentinel''s Martha Phifer, who emphasises that feng shui is regularly overlooked in the design process and is inextricably tied to energy levels of the bedroom - something people should make sure they read up about before planning a redesign.
Furthermore, Ms Phifer noted the power of choosing the correct mattress as a good-quality investment "conforms to your body''s natural alignment", reducing back pain and allowing for a better quality of sleep due to a reduction in tossing and turning.
She also noted how organic materials can also boost a person in terms of health, separating investors from the pesticides and fertilisers usually associated with the production of such fibres as cotton.
Mark Leevan of the Examiner spoke highly of organic cotton bed linen this week, emphasising how many people may feel fresh and clean when using it.
