Firm mattress ''great for good night''s sleep''

The use of a firm mattress is a great way to get to quality sleep on a night, according to a bed expert.
Dr Todd Swick, who works for the Houston Sleep Center, made his comments to the Houston Chronicle regarding the chronic insomnia that many people face each night after they head to bed to get some much-needed rest.
He explained that alongside eating well and exercising on a regular basis, people can get quality sleep, though by investing in a firm mattress, they can make things much easier for themselves - especially if the bedroom is cool, dark and quiet.
Dr Swick added that potions, pills and alcohol all have the same effect on people going to bed: very little.
He does not recommend them as at some point, people will need to turn away from them - essentially having to go cold turkey for the sake of better rest.
Last week, the New York Daily News explained that the mattress is the most important purchase for the house, as buying the wrong one could result in problems on both a health and financial basis.
