Mattresses are a major purchase and must be taken seriously, otherwise it could cost the buyer a small fortune, it has been claimed.
There are many offers in the market relating to padding and thickness which may cloud people''s judgement, according to the New York Daily News, which emphasised that buying the wrong one could mean health and sleep issues.
It explained that luckily for all, beds are of a much better quality now than they ever have been before, with a remarkable amount of materials going into the production of mattresses and frames.
So long as people try before they buy, the newspaper asserted that if a mattress is not comfortable and over ten years old, everyone should make it their top priority to replace it for the sake of their backs and quality of sleep.
Today, the Daily Telegraph said the mattress is the single most important item in the home and is the major difference between a "peaceful or restless night''s sleep".
