Sleeping couples ''should consider twin mattresses''
22/04/2009
Couples who are struggling to share a bed due to their different sleeping needs may want to consider getting a pair of mattresses, it has been stated.
In response to a growing trend of still-loving couples looking to separate beds to get their much-needed sleep, Kate Mulvey of the Times outlined a number of ways for people to keep overnight intimacy intact without the need for one person to rest elsewhere.
She said that a pair of mattresses can be used should people struggle to get the correct level of support necessary for them, while not compromising the closeness overnight.
If temperature regulation is a problem, Ms Mulvey recommends the use of a breathable duvet of around 80 per cent feather down, with cotton covers also enhancing the cooling effect.
Last week, it was revealed that humans are not the only bed market in the modern world, with Honda releasing its Element prototype which caters for dogs through a bed in the boot for them to take the weight off their paws.
