Children should ''be individual'' in shared bedroom Following a trend for downsizing one''s house in the current climate, a number of ways to make children more open to sharing a bedroom have been issued to aid against a possible family feud.

Linda Barker, the interior designer behind popular TV shows such as Changing Rooms, told the Daily Mirror that many children need their own interests established, such as through a bookcase for each of them to display books, toys and other items personal to them.

Furthermore, she recommended that by giving them a choice to select their own bed linen, rugs and cushions, they could customise their bed immediately.

Storage space should also be maximised in order to keep clutter at bay, Ms Barker emphasised, with beds a particularly good solution should they come with any built-in drawers or similar.

The newest addition to the Rooney family will have their decor chosen from them, according to reports from last week, with Premiership footballer Wayne and wife Coleen making plans to deck their expected child''s room out in the blue of Everton.
