Sleeping routines are ''good for children''

Two slumber experts who set up the first private sleep clinic outside of London are recommending the need for young ones to get into a sleep routine to keep them fresh during the daytime.
Maggie Davies and Deborah Sugden, who spoke to the Exeter Express & Echo about their establishment, Sleepy-Tots, use their 30 years of experience in the NHS to relay good health tips to visitors hoping to get their children to live a healthy lifestyle through good rest.
"Establishing routines from three months old can help avoid all those pitfalls. Babies have different needs so the most important thing is to have consistent routines," Ms Sugden asserted.
She added that naps are "crucial" as they allow the developing hormones of youngsters to settle down during the day and improve the quality of night-time sleeping and provide a better schedule.
The Exeter-based sleep clinic sends questionnaires to the parents of affected children before working through a seven-day sleep routine through a one-hour consultation and assessment of the toddler.
