Oasis star uses bedroom as recording studio

Noel Gallagher's initial recordings for his band's new album, Dig Out Your Soul, were recorded in a fellow band member's bedroom as the regular rehearsal space was taken.
The usual recording space was taken by Gallagher's friend Paul Weller, ex-member of the Style Council and the Jam who has just released his new album 22 Dreams.
As a result, the Oasis singer-songwriter had to use the bedroom of rhythm guitarist Gem Archer but with a strict time limit to finish before Archer's children got home from school.
Speaking to Mojo magazine, Gallagher said: "There were no backing vocals, no acoustic guitars.
"I was looking at Gem, going, 'I'd have put trumpets on it, but your kids were knocking at the door.'"
At the beginning of the month, the Daily Mail reported that Andrew Bain, an NHS dentist, secured a £1 million deal with Sony BMG after recording an operatic version of Prince's Purple Rain in his bedroom.
