A Sheffield teenager has turned his bedroom into the hub of a local radio station.
The Sheffield Telegraph reports that 18-year-old Chris Parker has set up his own station through MySpace and uses his bedroom to broadcast Notorious Online.
According to the youngster, the radio station aims to help other kids get interested in music rather than crime.
"We're here to prove that we chose the right way instead of the wrong way and it worked. We want to show these kids they can choose a positive road rather than a negative one," he told the newspaper.
The station, which plays UK garage music and some indie rock is heard by listeners in a number of countries including the USA and the Caribbean.
Meanwhile, Feng Shui enthusiast Pat Heydlauff recently advised that when using the bedroom for a purpose other than sleeping it is important to make it a productive space.
Making her comments to the Exchange Morning Post, she recommended combining high-tech office equipment with "personal design preferences" to create an office/bedroom which is "less stressful and more productive".
