Jasper Fforde names More Pants his top bedtime read
British novelist Jasper Fforde has revealed his favourite bedtime reads for children.
In an article for the Guardian, he named More Pants by Giles Andrea and Nick Sharratt as a great book to help send youngsters off to sleep.
According to Fforde, the book is better than its predecessor - Pants - and the fact it rhymes makes it very readable.
The book is about the different types of pants people can wear and includes quirky phrases like: "Arty Pants, Party Pants, Black Belt in Karate Pants".
He added: "More Pants has a complex and delightful verse-form that ensures the words peel off the page."
Other publications to make Fforde's top ten include the classic Fantastic Mr Fox by Roald Dahl, Tove Jansson's The Moomins and The Cat in the Hat by Dr Seuss.
Fforde - who is best known for his Thursday Next novels - said reading before bedtime is "vitally important" and helps to bring families together.
