Record breaking human mattress dominoes
The Guinness World Record for the largest number of people taking part in human dominoes has been smashed in New Orleans, where 850 participants have been knocked back onto mattresses in a huge chain.
The previous record was set in Belgium in 2011 where 550 people were toppled into each other on mattresses. However, after many minutes and to huge cheers, the final human mattress domino was toppled in New Orleans, smashing this record by 300 people.
The 850 mattresses for the event were donated, and will now go to various local charities. If you feel as though your own mattress has served its time, you may want to try and find 851 people like yourself and try to go one better than the Americans.
Participants stand in domino lines with their backs to the mattress, and are pushed back into each other so that each individual lands comfortably on their mattress.
