Chloe Bingham - The Sunless Forest

Once upon a time there lived a group of animals in a forest

There were three cheetahs: a mummy cheetah, a daddy cheetah, and a baby cheetah.  There was a family of bees: mummy bee, daddy bee and a baby bee.  Every animal you can imagine lived in the forest.

The only problem was it always dark.

So the animals made a plan.  Their plan was to create a light.  All the animals had jobs and when they were finished, their creation would be called "The Sun".

It was to be lit with a forest-made match and the giraffes would put it out every night.

The elephants had to dig out all their earwax and make it into a big ball, as they had the biggest ears.  The cheetahs had to dig up lots of mud, and put it on a wooden flat square.

The hippos had to roll over in the mud and measure the ball of earwax.

The bees took honey fron their beehive, to use as glue.

The snakes slithered up to the top of the trees to find the beehive with the most honey because the bees had to leave this beehive as it was so dark up there.

The woodpeckers cut some branches out.  The dogs crushed stones and used honey to stick them to the branch.

They had made the match.  They took a long piece of wool from the sheep,  and attached it to the end of the match.  then they lit the ball and put it in the sky.

All the animals were tired.  They yawned.

Night Night.
