I bought an electric under blanket one of your brands (that's why I bought it as you are a well known company) but I must say I am too nervous to use it. I keep thinking what about accidents what if I spill some water having a drink at night, or what if I accidently wet the bed how safe is it?
I have used it the once, it is on my bed though not plugged in. I found that when I used it I put it on for approx 20 mins then went to bed it took the chill off nicely but as said previously I was a bit worried sleeping even though I had turned it off at the controller, I actually got out of bed to un plug it before I could settle. I'd just like to ask am I worrying over nothing?

Providing you follow the care and useage instructions provided with your electric blanket you should have no need for concern. All the Silentnight electric blankets are machine washable - as the connector on the blanket has a special compound inside it to ensure that all the internal components are waterproof.
