Comfort control underblanket.
I have just been looking at the above product on Argos. It states that it is machine washable? How is this possible if it is an elecric blanket? also this might sound odd but how long will it stay warm after it has been unplugged? I am looking at it for heat therapy for a horse! Obviously it will have to be unplugged while the horse is wearing it!

Silentnight Electric Blankets are made under licence by Comfy Quilts Ltd. All Silentnight electric blankets are machine washable - as the connector on the blanket has a special compound inside it to ensure that all the internal components are waterproof.
You do have to follow the instructions by disconnecting the power lead from the blanket connector and also ensure that the blanket is fully dried before connecting back up again.
As the horse may at any time chew, nibble at the blanket etc - then there may be a risk of it biting through the blanket and damaging the heating cables therefore we would not advise that the electric blanket be used for anything other than an under blanket on a mattress.
