In Jan.09 I purchased a Silentnight Dual Control Double Electric Blanket from TJ Hughes in Widnes, Cheshire.

The electric blanket is malfunctioning, it doesn't heat up at the top or the middle on one side. On the original box the blanket came in it states the product has a 3 year guarantee warranty.

I contacted TJ Hughes to ask if I should return the purchase to their store, the advice given to me was to contact Silentnight to ask for any reference number so as to either return the item to TJ Hughes or Silentnight direct, can you please advise me in this matter.

This is not actually a question. Eight years ago I bought one of your firm mattresses with the hope that it would give me ease from my pains in my back and hips.  It was suggested that I buy yours as it was supposed to be the best.  Well I have tried unsucessfully to get used to and finally admitted defeat - I gave it away.   This bed cost me £400-00 from Littlewoods catalogue and as far as I am concerned it was a waste of money because all it did was make my back and hips ache more.  It was a Silentnight Miracoil.' from mrs freda knowles in gateshead
