I bought an electric under blanket one of your brands (that's why I bought it as you are a well known company) but I must say I am too nervous to use it.  I keep thinking what about accidents what if I spill some water having a drink at night, or what if I accidently wet the bed how safe is it?

I have used it the once, it is on my bed though not plugged in.  I found that when I used it I put it on for approx 20 mins then went to bed it took the chill off nicely but as said previously I was a bit worried sleeping even though I had turned it off at the controller, I actually got out of bed to un plug it before I could settle.  I'd just like to ask am I worrying over nothing?' from tphillips in doncaste

As you can see from above I live in Corfu. In October while in the UK I bought a Silentnight fleece electric underblanket, as it gets very cold here in the winter.

I put it on for the first time last week and it just never gets more than just being slightly warm, really not worth putting it on. I cannot understand this. In my mind it should work or not work. Unfortunatly I am not returning to the UK until Oct/ Nov 2011. Is there anything I can do to increase the blankets performance?
