Your Questions

05 January 2012 by Annette

Thank you for you quick responce to my last question, but I wanted to know what the mattress was made from.  Does this have any memory foam in it, what is the pillow top made from and would this go lumpy in time?  The mattress is called Silentnight Ultimate Pillow Top Mattress and is on sale on isme and they are saying it was a £750 mattress before the sale so what am I getting for my money.

Reply from our Silentnight Expert:

This mattress does not contain memory foam.  The pillowtop is an additional layer of padded fibres on the top of the mattress for the ultimate in luxurious softness.  We would not expect this additional layer to go lumpy.

In the wider retail environment it is almost always true that the more you pay for a product, the better that product is in many aspects. However, there are instances where a product's price reflects the promotional plans of the retailer.

Same problem here , other Silentnight mattress seem to have detailed information except the "ultimate pillow top" ones. I cant find the product in the Silentnight website itself. I feel that the retailers; (very, kandco and littlewoods - the only one who sell them and actually might be one company) are pushing the original price higher so the customer feels they have a good deal for the sale price which would be the same with Silentnight best seller miracoil 3. An honest review or information will be very usefull for us the costumer. The mattress itself for king size is around £229 it's not cheap and around the same price with the newest Silentnight product. Comfort is dependent on each person's need and taste but how will we know this if the manufacturer didn't put details as clear as it is on other mattresses. Still my question is, is it medium or more to firm? I guess I will only know when it has arrived. Hopefully I wont have to get through the pain of return or exchanging it to miracoil 3 later on.
