I have recently purchased a cirrus airflow miracoilo 7 bed. My quilted mattress topper seemed to make the bed too warm. One of the reasons for buying it was for coolness.(Is much better without it but my old stretch mattress protectosr don't fit) .Please advise what sort of mattress protector I should use & where I might get one as I cannot find anything but quilted! Many Thanks

Reply from our Silentnight Expert:

The miracoil 7 mattress has generous layers of fillings, as such any additional covers placed over it will only add to the insulating effect under the body during sleep. Synthetic type of mattress covers form a 'skin' that is not breathable between sleeper and mattress. There are 100% cotton mattress protectors available which are better as cotton has better breathability properties. (a plain one is better than a quilted one for sure if mattress warmth is an issue). There are plenty choices if you browse the internet, or I would have thought department stores like Debenhams, John Lewis should be  a good place to look.
