Is non-allergenic suitable for a child with dust mite allergy or would the anti-bacterial filling be better?

Reply from our Silentnight Expert:

The term 'hypoallergenic' simply means less likely to trigger to an allergic reaction. It is not a scientific term, it implies that something is less likely to trigger / cause a reaction in comparison to something else.

Anti bacterial treatment in our ticking (purotex treatment for example) actually starves / kills dust mites that help reduce / eliminate allergies.

We would advise anti bacterial treatment and also the use of a decent mattress protector, is the best option for allergy sufferers. However, it should be understood, this does not necessarily guarantee a cure, it just means it's the best option. Individuals immune levels are also a key factor in allergic reactions.
