Your Questions

08 January 2010 by Mrs A Foster

My partner and I bought one of your king sized beds last year which has a ten inch mattress. The bed is wonderful but I cannot find a mattress proctector or base sheet that is big enough. This includes your own range which although the packaging states that they are big enough for up to 10" mattresses do not still quite fit when first put on and the minute you even sit on the bed the mattress becomes partly uncovered and even more so of course when two people are sleeping in the bed. The problem is that they are not quite big enough and also not elasticated all round in order to fit underneath, to keep them in place. Therefore our mattress never has full protection. Is there anywhere that I can buy a mattress proctector and base sheet that will cover the mattress more efficiently as this mattress will obviously not last as long as our previous one otherwise.

Reply from our Silentnight Expert:

You can sometimes find mail order companies offer extra deep fitted sheets.  Their brochures are often included as part of a newspaper supplement or as a doorstop/"junk mail" items.

One company I have seen advertising deep sheets recently is Scotts of Stow but I am unable to comment on the quality of the product or their reliability.
