Your Questions

26 November 2009 by Nick Clark

I have just purchased a Silentnight Cirrus Airflow Duvet. There is a Silentnight label on the duvet, which states: Cover 70% Polyester 30% Cotton - Filling 100% Polyester. There is a manufacturers code of "Week 4209 SC101722"

My question is: can you confirm that this is the duvet stated on the packing and not a standard Silenghtnight duvet that I could have purhased for half the price?

Thanks

Nick

Reply from our Silentnight Expert:

We have checked with the manufacturers, Comfy Quilts (they make the products under licence) and can confirm that the factory made Silentnight Cirrus Airflow Duvets in Single 10.5tog on Tuesday 13th Oct / Double on Wednesday 14th / King & Super King on Thursday 15th Oct (Week No. 42 – 09).

As stated on the artwork – the cirrus fibres help circulate excess heat and humidity to escape and thereby helps you from overheating during sleep etc.

Any Silentnight Cirrus Airflow 10.5 tog duvet would give the same heat resistance of any other Silentnight 10.5 tog duvet, however, as they manufacturer various versions of 10.5 tog quilts, i.e. microfibre and standard hollowfibre fillings, Egyptian cotton and or percale outer covers etc., all of which will give a different feel to the actual quilt, but again all will still perform as a 10.5 tog duvet yet all in their own right will feel, handle differently depending on the choice of filling ie. airflow on the Cirrus.
